What We Do
Bite Me Cancer, Inc. emerged out of a strong desire of a 17 year old cancer patient with a strong desire to inspire and support other cancer patients especially the teenagers who deal with all kinds of cancer as well as focus on the need for more research about thyroid cancer.

Inspiration and Support
Our Teen Support programs include our very popular Teen Support Bags handed out to more than 15,000 teens with cancer so far (as of September 2026). We also provide monthly meal deliveries to the local hospital pediatric oncology unit. Our free events for teens with cancer and their family/friends are very popular! In 2026, we began a college scholarships for teens who have dealt with cancer.
Education
We are very proud that we initiated the annual Virginia Teen Cancer Awareness Week that began in 2014. Teens with cancer have unique challenges, and there has been little awareness of this. (Photo to right is from our annual proclamation from the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors for Teen Cancer Awareness Week.)
We also increase awareness of thyroid cancer as it's been an increasing type of cancer that has many variations. It is not the "good cancer" as many have said over the years. More treatment options are needed.
